Yes, we are supposed to do that at Stratford. I had auditioned for something with [director] Des McAnuff recently and didn't get it, but he's had his eye on me since Caroline, and this is what came to mind. I have always wanted to play Cleopatra. I don't know yet when it will happen because we're trying to work out scheduling. But I'm very excited.

Wasn't Des McAnuff director of The Wiz that never made it to Broadway?

Yes, McAnuff is director of The Wiz.

Nikki M. James is also up at Stratford playing the title role in Romeo and Juliet.

She is so humble and nice, I can't get enough of her.
I do wonder if the Des role she talks about is Dorothy. She was supposed to play the role in the TV movie version that fell through, that blows.
