Everyone is certaintly entitled to their opinion. I feel my review of the entire show on the whole was made clear. Andrea is the standout star of this production, imo, hands down.
As far as my "staying", this was not a cast party. Some theaters in Philly often offer refreshments in the theater lobby on opening night and invite the subscribers, sponsors, select patrons, and especially the press to stay for brief interviews and photos, which is exactly what I did. FYI, some do this in NY as well.
Bottom line, when a Broadway legend returns to her hometown to get involved with a local theater production, her family & friends come out to support her. The McArdles did just that and I chose to recognize that and them. (I might add, that before this production I had never met Andrea, her parents or grandmother). However,Andrea and her family are loyal supporters of BWW as well.

Mercution1, Yes, to me it was a great (meaning accurate) review.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I dont think anyone disputes that.
I saw the production as well. However, I stand by my opinion of this theater critic (and I use that term very loosely) and of my original post.
Mercution, do you understand that PB ent. IS the reviewer?

It's quite interesting that this would play out totally different if we were all standing around at a cocktail party and not hidden behind screen names LOL.
For what it's worth, I thought I'd provide a link to the Philadelphia Inquirer review of the production, which was very positive (and much more even-handed in its content than the BWW review). This was written by Toby Zinman, who also reports for Variety, and is a notoriously tough critic, especially of musical theater.
