Another New Kander & Ebb Show

I'm surprised that there has been no mention of the article today that says Kander & Ebb's All About Us(formerly Skin of Our Teeth, the musical and Over & Over) will be in Westport next season.

Two new Kander and Ebb musicals in one year? Yowsa.

(yes I know Over & Over tried out in D.C. a couple of years ago)

Todays NYT has a great article on Kander-Ebb... mentions Westport Country Playhouse as well as...
"a revised version of “The Visit” is expected at the Signature Theater, in Arlington, Va., next fall."
...and, of course...
"To the Los Angeles critics those results seemed mostly charming, good enough to persuade the show’s producers to bring “Curtains” to Broadway as soon as an appropriate theater opens up.

Wonder if Kander will continue writing new stuff ( either both music & lyrics) or with a new lyricist?

This article was so touching, I HAD to listen to some of the slow songs from Cabaret. Kander and Ebb are one my favorite composing teams.

PS. What is Over and Over?

Richard Rogers did it quite successfuly (No Strings, anyone?)

Everyone should read this article today, while it's still free, before it goes into the Archives at the NYT. You will have to pay for it at that point.

It's a hopefull, inspiring and touching look at how Mr. Kander is doing without Mr. Ebb...and its good news for the musical theater community! Lovey Sunday NYT reading...

Julian2 - "Over and Over" is a previous title for KanderEbb's take on Thornton Wilder's "The Skin Of Our Teeth". It's current title is "All About Us".
