re: Another Project for Wildhorn

Even though he hit some bumby trails with Dracula, I still think the man is a Fantastic song writer...

I wonder if he was inspired by the West End flop - The Beautiful and Damned based on the same subject. Whatever happened to Havana, Zorro, and Cyrano?

If he was inspired by Beautiful and Damned, then the show is already in trouble. B&D was AWFUL.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

The critics are already sharpening their knives fro the next Wildhorn show. No matter what it is, they will trash it.

re: Another Project for Wildhorn

It sucks. He (IMO) makes some of the greatest musical scores, J&H was fabulous, as was Pimpernel, but his plot lines and the scripts for his shows suck. He needs to pair up with some better book writers etc. Then he might have a good show. But I agree, the critics are gonna be real hard to please after this.

What about that other musical he was working on after Pimpernel...something about a fortune teller guy, I forget the title...

do you mean Svengali? All I know is that he works on a lot of projects at one time. I guess you could say he is fortunate to at least get some of them staged...for better or worse. That's better than most can say. His Jekyll & Hyde in Concert is very cool.

"Scott and Zelda" had a reading a few years ago with Rob Evan. It's apparanently one he's had on his shelf.

BTW, Frank has trimmed down and looks well.

He better start thinking about recording DRACULA instead of working on new shows.
