"Hill noted that the original "Grease" was " ... not a good show, especially the message. The original script has Sandy swearing all over the place. Cha-Cha was the best dancer with the worst reputation. In the original, she was a really fat girl and really gross, and in the movie she's really hot, but this new characterization is more of a hybrid.
"The message (that it's OK to give in and lower your standards) is downplayed in this new production. It's more about friendship and how the (Rydell High School) students deal and interact with each other," Hill said."
As I said...in the "spirit" or true intention of the show? Who knows. But the most accurate interpretation of this revival. Perhaps she can learn her co-workers a thing or two.
