Are there any current behind the scenes tours? Besides Wicked. And what about tea talks? Are most current Broadway shows doing talks after the show?
The only time I've really heard of any shows doing talk backs have been largely shows in previews. I don't think it's a regular practice once the show has opened. I could be wrong though.
What is a tea talk?
Behind the Emerald Curtain is the only tour I'm aware of right now.
Tea Talk is what they call like "talk backs" I just know the term from shows in Toronto at Stratford. But it's the same thing as talk back. I saw one at Beauty and the Beast 2 years ago.
Oh, ok. Yeah...I don't think any shows do them. ?Except like I said maybe a show in previews...and even then I think it's more likely to be an off-Broadway show. Based on my experience.
Talk backs happen pretty often at current shows- depending on the show, and from what I hear being part of a school group and/or making a bc/efa donation helps. They happen at Blonde all the time, and I know Heights has even done a few already...
Oh, ok. I guess I've only ever heard of open shows doing them for pre-arranged groups. Not the random "there will be a talk back after this performance" slips that I've encountered during previews and are open to the entire audience.
MTC does an open "talk back" after every Saturday matinee performance at the Biltmore. During previews, after opening ... it's a regular thing. Not sure if that's what you are talking about.
