Any Show Boat fans?

I would like to know how many fans of Show Boat are on these boards. I want to say that I'm a fan of it. I love the 1988 recording and the 1936 film, and I'd gladly welcome a new film adaptation of it. I'd like to know all your thoughts about Show Boat.
