So, with the marvelous news of the 2013-14 season over at Encores, I was just wondering if anyone's heard any casting buzz with regard to upcoming staging of CRADLE WILL ROCK?

Well they've announced some interesting pre-show events, but still no word on casting.
Also, I don't think they're using the original orchestrations, because I feel like that would've been announced and emphasized. (Though I could be wrong) I have my tickets for July 12th, though, and I'm super excited!
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Well they've finally announced a cast, and it's a great one! I'm intrigued by the gender-swapping they did, but I'm really looking forward to hearing and seeing everyone.

The show was revived by the Theatricum Botanicum in LA about 12 years ago.
Absolutely, totally worth it (even without stars). New Yorkers, run for tickets!

So psyched! And unbelievable but wonderful that I was able to buy two fourth row orchestra seats for $25 each a couple of weeks ago; felt like winning a lottery
