Let them at least get it on its feet in Philly first. No one really knows until it is up.
The last McNally play that was mounted, also at the Phila Theatre Co., didn't come in. His play before that (Some Men) did, but only after a major rewrite.
I think there will be some script tweaking between Phila and DC. They will also have to do some restaging and possibly a new set because of differences in stage size. What is the timing of the Phila closing and the DC opening?
If nothing else McNally is prolific.

Ack! I had confused "Golden Age" with "Unusual Acts of Devotion" -- the latter being the last McNally premiere PTC mounted (in late 200
, which had a run at La Jolla this past June, but which I believe (also) has no firm NYC plans at this point.
The Philly run of Golden Age is Jan 22nd through Feb 14th ... the Kennedy Center previews begin March 12th. that leaves a little time for tweaks, but not an abundance. I think the DC performance is slated for one of the Kennedy Center's smaller theaters, so maybe the sets will transfer as is?
I suppose one could operate from the premise everything McNally does makes its way here eventually ...

The Kennedy Center is running McNally's opera plays simultaneously, so they are using all of their theaters, except for the gigantic Opera House (slightly ironic, given the name). They are even commandeering the Family Theater, usually used only for their Young Audiences series, for one of them.
GOLDEN AGE is running in the Family Theater, which is 324 seats, according to the KC website, the smallest of the three.

Somewhat OT:
Whatever happened to the movie version of CORPUS CHRISTI?
A news item about it caused a small riot in my parish, with some people calling for a boycott of the film. Of course, I got ugly about all this and most people sided with me.
Has the film been released?
