I predict that Drew Sarich will be playing Elphaba. And Glinda. At the same time as Valjean.

Just when I thought "wow, I'm glad they stopped recycling by casting Lenny Wolpe" I find out that he originated the role in the LA workshops....ugh! But good for him anyways.
In response to your question, I predict that eventually Lea Michele will take over for Elphaba, just not soon.

She wants to, too.
I could see her playing Elphaba in like 3 years. She has the vocal power for it. I'd probably go to see her if she did get the role.

I think ashley would probably be a little too legit for elphaba, but hey, I thought the sam thing about Ana and look where that got her.
As for Lea, after hearing her belt those E's in the Mama Who Bore Me Reprise, I would like to see her as Elphaba.
