It was a very nice and short concert. Only an hour but that was probably due to Birdland conflicts. He only stopped the show once because of someone taking a picture.
He sang 3 songs from PARADE (Old Red Hills, Hard To Speak My Heart and This Isn't Over Yet) and acknowledged that there were members of the original cast in the house. He sang lots of his own music from his album including Someone to Fall Back on which was the encore. He also sang a cut song from 13, "Being a Geek" and a song from his new show, "Honeymoon in Vegas" which is having a reading now and I believe the reason why he is in the city.
The biggest thrill were the cameo appearances from Shoshana Bean and Titus Burgess who both did great jobs. Bean sang 2 songs, "I'm still hurting" and "I will follow" I think that's what the second one was called. Burgess sand "king of the world" and JRB joked that he didn't know that he wrote that song so high till he sang it.
Overall a nice evening and music and entertainment
