Yah, I know alot changed, and yes the cast was very talented. I just dont know that this show works as a musical. I think producers are starting to get the idea that becuase somthing works as a movie, makes it automaticaly work as a musical. I dont really need to hear these characters sing. Maybe it would work better as a play? Again, I didnt see the changes, so I guess I cant REALLY judge.

^^ Well, I saw it later in the run (the last two weeks, I think), and my opinion still stands.

I saw it in san fran, the second to last week of the run. After the extension. They were integrating the changes. I didnt see it before the changes, but what I saw totally worked. The book is almost verbatim with the movie (sometimes I didnt like that,) but the songs take some more time to really flesh out the charachters a little bit more. It is a very minimalist show and should stay off broadway, or an very intimate house. When I saw it though, the crowds were cheering during production and we're very into it. I am totally excited for it in NY and hope that it jumps into production very soon.
