Good interview. Billy said there may be a tour for 700 Sundays as opposed to taping it or cable.

It WAS a great interview, and I loved his story about the cell phones.

Too funny

I missed it, but I would love to see him tour 700 Sundays

I loved his interview.

I am delighted he is considering a tour, however, I disagree with his reasons not to videotape. Yes, it's not the same as seeing it live, and having it on video will not be the same experience.

However, his show will not be documented. When his Broadway run ends, and if there is a tour, and that ends, it'll be over. No one will be able to enjoy it again, aside from the memories from those who have seen it.

This is the case with any other show, however, for 700 SUNDAYS, it is a different situation. Money is no factor. He just doesn't want to do it.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I liked the story about the Yankee PA announcer doing his theater announcements.

I think Billy knows he could make a ton of cash if he does a tour and that's why he's holding off on doing a video.
