What does Sara sing instead of "I've got no Tony Award" ??
Sara's been out, I think. She wasn't on for today's matinee, though I'm not sure about this evening.
I was at the first performance follwing the Tony's, Tuesday night, and Sara was out. It was my first time seeing it so I don't know if anything was different but it sounds unlikely since Sara wasn't there.
She was back in last night--and she was brilliant!
I posted her new lyric here:

SPOILER BELOW
Quoting jrb_actor, the new lyric is:
"And my Tony Award won't keep me out of Betty Ford."
I seriously love that woman. I wonder if she thought of that one herself.
Wow, thats a great lyric change. Further reason for me to be a spamaphile.
Didn't an earlier version of the lyric mention Betty Fords?
Seeing it tonight--and I'm so glad Sara is back in and feeling better!
YEs, ourtime.
On the CD she says both Grammy and Tony....in the show it was just Tony/Bett Ford

even darlene wilson sings "with all our tony awards im still in and out of betty fords" so i assume eric idle changed the lyrics. in a post interview sara said that eric would probably change the lyric cause he's all about current events.
did u realize that sara thanked her in her acceptance speech...

Sara thanked her standby for covering for her during her illness.

btw, is darlene a standby or is she actually in the ensemble?
how does the ensemble work, do they rotate roles? because i know i saw different people in the show this week than when i went last time.

Did she get a huge ovation during her bow? I guess you can't compare it to before she won the Tony if this is your first time seeing it, but I'm curious if the crowd was more appreciative now.
Darlene is the standby, I believe.
I would love to see the show now, but I'm too far away. I can say this tho...I haven't been able to get "Find Your Grail" out of my head since their performance! It's quite a catchy tune.
Yay! Sara's back!
