I purchased February tickets to this off-Broadway and off-beat show strictly from checking out the website. I love Cirque de Soleil and thought this might be up my alley. I'll be taking my 16 year old niece. Hope I made a good decision to go. Anybody's comments are welcome.
Well, i've heard comments like "if you wonder what your laundry does while you're at work, this show answers the question" and "it's like watching a lava lamp for an hour." Not promising! It's supposed to be more enjoyable after a few cocktails, but i don't suppose you can liquor-up a 16 year old...
This show has had rave reviews everywhere it has played. It did very well here in Australia about a year ago, in fact I think it is the Australian producers who have taken it to NY.
Saw it in London about 5 years ago and it's fantastic.
Sit in the stalls for one of the best finales you will experience in a theatre.
Saw it a few weeks ago with wife, daughter and daughters bf. It was ver entertaining. We sat in the front row, and got a little wet, and pelted with "snow"..... The end was REALLY fun, with lots of audience participation. It was fun!

We have front row seats too. How messy does it get? We have a plane to catch shortly after the show and won't have time to change and redo hair and makeup.

Midtown,
It sounds like you're describing "Symphonie Fantastique," not "Slava."
