Recuping from a recent injury in bed over a couple of weeks had me climbing the walls. It was interesting going over a past theatre calender, where I had stored the old accummulating tickets and dates of almost every show I attended over the years. There were a dozen dates that stood out, for having three or more shows on them. August 18, for instance showed: Dancin in 78, Gemini in 79,Bernadette Peters in Atlantic City in 91 and the Kennedy Center revival of Merrily We Roll Along in 02. Each time I see a show and add a date, it's fun seeing all the old shows I've loved or not loved over the years. I can't be the only one doing this! Am I?
Yup! I do the exact same thing (keep my ticket stubs, extra playbill(s), etc.) and keep track of the show and seat location (for Off/Broadway specifically). Lessee, I think come SUNDAY in the PARK with GEORGE on the 19th, that'll mark my 50th production. Needless to say, after BOEING BOEING, I'll need a new PLAYBILL Binder.
I keep a running list for the calendar year on a google doc and all my tickets in an envelope. :)
