Anyone going to Spamalot?

I'm pumped to finally see another show (it's been a freaking year!) and I got tickets for Christmas. January 24 matinee.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I? I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

I'll be taking a night off to check out the tour. I have two friends working on it, and am curious to see the road version!

So I saw the show yesterday, and I thought it was great. The only problem I had with the show was the fact that it was really quiet at parts and extremely loud at others. When did they add the show line in the French Soldiers part, because that was great.

I agree, SKB. Lake and I were in the balcony, pretty far away, and we both had a really hard time hearing anything that was going on, especially dialogue. I felt too far removed from the action, it would have been better up close but the show was still much fun :) I wasn't super familiar with it beforehand and I was especially impressed by the costumes and dancing.

I think you might want to bring one just in case. Which show were you at Jessica? Because at the 2:00 show, some huge ass hole was taking FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY for the first 10 minutes from the balcony. I love the Lady of the Lake costume change into the wedding dress. It was awesome.

(Don't you love my all-over-the-place-ness?)

AHH when she changed that costume I think I turned to my friend and was like "How the eff did she do that?" lol. We were at the 8 show, but people were taking pictures there too...the ushers didn't care even a little bit haha

I was pissed. I wanted the Lady of the Lake to pull a Patti LuPone. It was distracting. I wish this could be an open ended run in Chicago. It's (dare I say it?) WAYY better than Wicked.

This was not my idea but I agree with what Lake said yesterday, they should've kicked out "Dirty Dancing" sooner and put Spam in the Cadillac. It would have made it much more fun to watch, I felt removed from the action. I'd like to see it again at some point, but in a different space so I could catch more of what was missed from the balcony. I should mention that I'm blind in one eye (actually, no joke) so that coupled with the poor sound quality made me really strain to catch some parts.
