I'm writing a paper for school about fans of Broadway stars going out of control. I wondered if any of you had articles, clips, or websites on the topic. If you have time to help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

there was an article about fans in the Playbills from around the end of the summer I think. If I come across it I'll let you know. I know there was a Wicked girl in there, and I think some guy that loved Bernadette.

I've seen those but I meant more like dangerous fan stuff. Like the threat against Idina and Taye etc. but thanks anyway

How about Sho's stalkers who want to know what time she leaves her apartment in the morning? Now THAT'S scary.

There is a 1981 film with Lauren Bacall, Maureen Stapleton and Michael Biehn on just this subject, adapted from a highly successful novel by Bob Randall.

I don't know if this would apply, but there was that incident when George Rose (from Edwin Drood) was beaten to death by his adopted son/lover.

That would not apply and remains a very sad tragedy to this day. George Rose was awesome!

There's a few stories of such things in Making it on Broadway.

I think Matt Morrison once had a stalker..

And...didn't a fan once go to Raul Esparza's apartment or something?

In the late nineties, a man was jailed for stalking Deborah Gibson. I believe there's quite a bit of information about that on the internet.
