Anyone have the London Poppins CD?

If so, what are your thoughts? I ordered mine today.

I have mine, but haven't finished listening to it yet. I like the recurring use of Chim Chim Chiree as narrative. The new music fits in well with the familiar score. The song "Temper Temper" sounds incredibly frightening! And the statue guys in the pics are pretty hot. Everyone sounds wonderful on the CD. I'm very curious about the show. I'm sure it will be headed to Broadway.

i am seeing MP this summer in london. Since it is only a couple months, should i wait to order the CD?

It probably won't be any cheaper with the exchange rate to buy it in London....

Footlight has the cast CD for around $25.00, if you pre-order. This is probably the best price you will find in the states. For now.

I ordered mine over a week ago...Haven't gotten it yet, but I'm hopeful

amazon.co.uk has it for 8 pounds ninety-nine...roughly 17 bucks, so it may in fact be a bit cheaper to buy it in London when you go.

HMV in London usually has discounts on the latest cast recordings. That's where I bought the My Fair Lady revival recording after I saw the show. I think it was on sale for 9.99.

I ordered mine from Amazon.co.uk for the 8 pounds thing, when I went to check out the price went down to 7.65...with shipping it was a little over 10 pounds. Not a bad deal at all.

Do the liner notes include lyrics?

Buying it from amazon.co.uk may be a bit cheaper, but it takes so much longer to receive than if you order it at footlight.com.

My friend ordered his from the Mary Poppins website and he already has it. It wasn't released until April 1.

Just got my cd from Amazon UK and am listening to it now. Excellent. Can't wait for this to come to NY.

The truly beautiful should be lawfully restricted from wearing clothing; and the truly butt-ugly should be lawfully mandated from going naked.
