Hi all you wonderful people! Have any of you heard of a play called BOB! It's hysterical and to me some of the best modern work I've seen in awhile! It's by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb!

I have not heard of BOB, but I am a fan of Nachtrieb's BOOM. I played Jules in a production once.

I saw it at Humana in 2011. Here was my short blog about it. When did you see it? Hope it has improved.
BOB by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb
It's hard for any show to maintain the level of hilarity this one attempts, especially when the jokes and situations the main character, Bob, finds himself in are so lame. This from-birth-to-death story (think Forrest Gump for the stage) featured a hard working chorus of four actors playing all the other characters in Bob's life. Unfortunately, I just didn't care about any of them, including the title character.
Funny story! I'm currently in it a my high school. Every year, since 1926, Texas UIL puts on a state wide competition and all the school in the whole state compete to go to Austin where the six final shows will perform in a strict 40 minute timed show for a audience of about 3,000,
This year my school did the show BOB, all of the critics have spoken great of our show and we have advanced three times, we are getting ready to go to the region competition and then after that hopefully we will get the opportunity to go to state!
Our show is set in a circus and we a all clowns, except for bob, I find the script hysterical! Of course we had to cut some things in order to fit the timed setting of the contest but the material that is left over is absolutely brilliant, I personally love and value the script but other in my cast do not.
Even more obscure:
Does anyone else remember the short-lived, scaled down GUI from Microsoft called, BOB?
