I'm a huge fan of Louise Pitre and have heard amazing things about her. Has anyone met her? If so, is she as nice as everyone says? From what I can tell, she seems so appreciative of her fans. Updated On: 11/11/03 at 10:15 AM

I've met her several times....Always an extraordinary experience. She is just so much fun to be around! Even sat with her in her dressing room for a chat once. I'm telling you, this woman is amazing, and everything you've heard about her is true- definitely one of the nicest, kindest, most down to earth performers I've ever met. Never ever seen her without a smile on her face! PM me if you want more details- Always willing to share the love. :)

Emmamia, I think I met you that day! I was walking in the street to work the morning of Stars in the Alley, and I saw some girls in Mamma Mia! gear and I asked, "Are you guys with Mamma Mia?" and they said yes, and I thought you meant you were in the show, but you said, "Just fans...and LOUISE is performing today!!!!"

One thing I forgot to say: The best thing about Louise is that she really does give each and every fan a feeling like they matter...and she really cares about what they have to say. That, to me, is amazing. And I wholeheartedly agree about deserving fame and fortune!!
Btw- check out my fan photos for pics with her.

I was one of those girls with the I LOVE LOUISE T-shirts- such a fantastic day.... Louise got a big kick out of them.(I hope..)
NativeNewYorker-The shirts are white with and black and red writing on them. If those were the shirts you saw, we are the girls! I believe we are the only people crazy enough to make them.. :)

I got an email from her once when I wrote to her about how fabulous she was in Mamma Mia in Chicago (pre-broadway)

Yes Louise is a total sweetheart..even when she was in a rush or was surrounded by tons of people she always made a gesture to let me know she knew I was there and to say hi. I miss her in MM! And to NativeNewYorker....yes we were the girls you saw with those t-shirts heading to Stars in the Alley..I remember chatting with you a bit on our walk there.

I met her in Starbucks once with my friend. She was standing in line in front of us and he softly started singing "Dancing Queen" and she turned around and he was like, "I'm sorry, I just had to tell you that I think you're fabulous." She was a bit caught off guard, but she was nothing but gracious. :)

I have seen Mamma Mia 9 times in Toronto and recently went to NY to see the second last performance of Mamma Mia. I stood at the stage door after the show and met Louise. She was absolutely wonderful! I couldn't get over how nice she was. I told her that I came to NY from St. Catharines just to see her and that I was going back that night. She was truly appreciative of the fact that I came to NY for 8 hours to see her! There were about 4 other people waiting to talk to her and she took the time to talk to each of us personally. BwayLover...I can't believe you got to chat with her in her dressing room! That must have been amazing. I have tickets to see her concert in February in Brantford and I am going to try and meet her again. I am also attending a charity benefit with a friend this weekend that Louise will be at.

She is such a sweet woman. I only got to see Mamma Mia once, but I'm so glad I saw her in it.
When she came out after the show, there were a few young girls there celebrating their friend's birthday. When Louise found out it was the girl's birthday, she started singing "Happy Birthday" to her right there in the street. It was so great.
