Anyone see HAIRSPRAY on 12/29?

I was at the matinee and evening lotteries for HAIRSPRAY on Wednesday, December 29. Anyone see either performance? While waiting for the evening lottery, I got autographs from Bruce Vilanch, Tracy Miller, Mary Bond Davis, Carla J. Hargrove, and Shannon Durig, who went on for Carly Jibson.

I was at both shows that day :)

The first show that day there was a slight problem with a set piece and for Good Morning Baltimore the 4 council member gals weren't on stage for "I know every step I know every song" (just a side fact)

i was there.. i won lotto that afternoon. yeah i noticed people who were suppose to be on stage for good morning batlimore werent. i was a bit upset carly jibson wasnt tracy but i enjoyed shannon durig i think she did a great job

I also saw Shannon in place of Carly in October. . .

(Funny---does she ever go on? Hah, joke!)

She's great, I really enjoyed her.

yes thibodeaux she does go on. i think she might be sick or have this week off. i know she was out tuesday,wedesday, and thursday.

Why weren't the girs on stage during "Good Morning Baltimore"? Thats weird that all of them would be gone when they are suppoed to be there from the very begining of the song. What set piece had issues too?

they werent there from hte begining of the song. it was just Shannon until "good morning, good morning waiting for my life to start". they were singing the ensemble parts but they werent on stage.

yeah they were behind the screen in the beginng. shannon durig kept looking back but no one was there

As I said in my frist post there was a problem with the set, so they didn't make it on.. it was fixed by the second show that day.


also Shannon also went on on thursday's 2pm show as well, and most likly the 8 as well.

i was told the screen/drop thing didnt rise like it was supposed to, until near the end of the song, so they all kinda got stuck back there for a while. when it finally moved, the rest of the set moved into place (the houses) and everybody was back on their mark by the time theyre supposed to be in that V shape.
