Anyone see La Cage today?

Random question, but my family saw the show today, and they told me the guy who played the son (forget his name, but Gavin's role) wasn't very good and kept cracking notes. That certainly doesn't sound like a Gavin performance to me... is my family insane, or was Gavin out today, or what?

sorry to threadjack your thread and I know this will sound completely ridiculous but wouldn't it be cool if Playbill kept a tally on leads (or principles/non-ensemble - NAMED CHARACTERS) and when they were not performing - so you can look back in history and see who missed which show?

gavin was really bad in this show so i wouldn't be surprised if that was him that your family saw

He is not at his best in this performance. So yes; it might have been him.

Maybe. I'm just so used to Gavin = perfect.

I'll have to make them check in the playbill. My mom did say he was blonde, though... Gavin's not really blonde. Anyone know what the u/s looks like?

I have seen the show twice and honestly, it sounds like Gavin to me...

He was weak in La Cage, but not because of his voice...

Andy, its almost as if Eden is going to jump off my screen and attack... lol, great avatar

I checked the La Cage site, and it lists Joey Dudding and Will Taylor as Gavin's understudies. From his headshot, Will looks like he's blonde, at least moreso than Joey or Gavin.
