I'm going to see POTO in Boston over Victoria Day weekend and was wondering if anyone has seen it and what their thought are?

I saw it. Gary Mauer as the Phantom was excellent. Rebecca Pitcher as Christine could have been better (her massive vibrato made her go sharp all over the place). Overall, I found the production to be lacking (and based on the opinions of many on this board, I don't know if its because the show is lacking).

I did...

I thought it was a good show. It was a great fit for The Opera House... I had 8th row seats and the Chandelier was right above my head... it was surreal. I had seen "Phantom" twice before, once in 94 and once in 97, and I saw the movie. I have to say the show is much better.

The cast was great, especially Gary Mauer as the Phantom and Rebecca Pitcher as Christine. They blew me away. I do agree with Timote, though... Rebecca Pitcher's Vibratto can be much at times... but other times her voice was great. I know the critics weren't that kind to it but how many times can you review a show that has been around for 17 years?

All in all it was a great show. I think you will enjoy it.
