Posted: 6/12/11 at 10:53pmI wouldn't doubt it. It will probably go up for next Sunday, the 19th.

I concur with you both. I would not be at all suprised if we learn tomorrow afternoon that BORN YESTERDAY will close on Sunday, the 19th.

Sad, but likely true...
such a great show.

Posted: 6/13/11 at 12:46amThat is sad. I wanted to see Nina Arianda make an acceptance speech.

Posted: 6/13/11 at 1:14amBummer. I wanted to see it, but am leaving Tuesday for a month. I had planned to catch it tomorrow night but they cancelled their performance for tomorrow night, so it looks like I'll miss this one.

Posted: 6/13/11 at 11:37amI am really mystified as to why this didn't do better. With Arianda's performance and the TV fame of Belushi and Leonard, I thought it'd be a hit with the tourists. I'm glad at least that I got to see it, it was really a lot of fun!

Posted: 6/13/11 at 4:09pmThis really is a shame, if true. I was looking forward to seeing this. I would have thought that with the reviews for Arianda and the names in the cast, it would have lasted through July.

Posted: 6/13/11 at 7:38pmIt really is a shame this show didn't gain more popularity. Its a wonderfully acted show. Nina took charge the second she walked out, she's spectacular. Jim and Robert are both fantastic. Really loved it, highly recommend it!

Posted: 6/13/11 at 7:46pmI think it's the lack of exposure. I saw a few posters on payphones around Times Square but nothing else, not to mention it's at the Cort. They should've filmed a TV spot.

I'm sorry if this news is true. It was very well acted, and I enjoyed it.
That said, its sensibility seems very dated and not a little naive in the cynical age in which we live.

Does no news today mean the show will hang on for at least another week?
Thursday night's performance, though, has been cancelled -- is that a sign of anything?
