I'm reading the script to "Anything Goes" for the first time (after being somewhat familiar with the music), and I had a question about Moonface Martin.
Is he supposed to be played by an older man...does it say something like that in the script? Or is that just a trend shown with Joel Grey, Bill McCutcheon, ect.

There is no age indicated in the script. The original Moonface, Victor Moore, was about 50.
William Gaxton (the original Billy) and Victor Moore worked together as a Leading Man/Comic Sidekick team in several musicals, includeing Of Thee i Sing.
