If you are looking for something to do in the afternoon besides sleep off the night before, oon show at Harrahs is Mac King's comedy magic show, a comedy magician and the show I believe is free with a 2 drink minimum, it's totally worth it. He's incredibly funny, and does some mind blowing stuff. Also Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo puts on a helluva show. I grew up with Magic as a hobby so I'm partial to Magic shows when in Vegas. If Copperfield is at the MGM, I'd stay away, his current show is pretty tired, he used to change up illusions in the show a lot more but has had the same one now for about 7 years, and it's cheaper on the road than when in Vegas, although its the same show.
I live in Vegas, but I haven't seen the majority of the shows because I am a lowly high school student who gets paid $7 an hour and my parents aren't really up for paying for shows all the time...
Anyway, Love is supposed to be incredible. I'm seeing it in October and I am PSYCHED...
A friend of mine saw Phantom last weekend and raved about it. She hated it when she saw it on Broadway - said it was tired - but she LOVED it here.
My best friend loved Mamma Mia, but she also loves Cats...
Celine Dion's show is supposed to be absolutely amazing. I guess it's more like a theatrical show than a concert. And Mia Michaels, who choreographed it, does incredible work.
Celine is not playing on Tuesday, when we want to see a show. We're staying at the Luxor and probably just seeing Mamma Mia. I am expecting Crap, but my boyfriend would much enjoy that over Burn the Floor. For the record, I also enjoy Cats, and Hated Phantom on Broadway. You have good friends, Pima.

I think the best show in Vegas is "O". The worst I've seen is Zumanity, which is witless, vile, and ugly.

If you can fit it in anywhere, SEE CELINE DION. It was the best concert I have ever been to (and I've got to alot). Lance Burton the magician was really good, and during the daytime, they have a Price is Right interactive show where u can be a contestant. It was a lot of fun.
I used to dream of being a Vegas showgirl...before I set my sights on Broadway.
We are teaming up with Current TV to film something fun while we are there. Our (first) thought is to film us trying to get married in some sort of white chapel. Anyone have any better ideas or anything to spice up what we have? I posted more details on the Las Vegas board (click "jump to board" above, and click vegas) if you wanna hear my ideas.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Kyle
"Burn the Floor" is great! I just got home from seeing the show and going to the after party. Wow what dancers. I loved it. Hope it can stay awhile.
Also, Liza is coming to Las Vegas October 12-14th. She will be at the Luxor Theatre.
