Apollo Victoria Theatre

Hello,

I'm seeing WICKED on 3/10/06 and i was hoping to meet Idina Menzel after the show. The thing is I don't know where the Theatre's Stage Door is located. Be most grateful if anyone could please tell me.

Thanks

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

Do you have a battering ram?

Be prepared to rush straight there after the curtain comes down, and be prepared for disappointment if she doesnt come out of the stage door (she might choose to leave by another exit).

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

when you come out of the underground station its on the side of the theatre thats facing you, as the theatre has 2 enterances. its down to the right of the foyer doors.

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

Seriously, those Idina fangirls are persistent little b*tch*s. You should consider a cattle-prod too.

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

Try Soho. There are bound to be shops there selling 'unconventional' electrical equipment.

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

*wondering*
Do you think I'll have the same problem trying to get to Adam Garcia?
#15

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

ok - is adam garcia going to be good in this - i've heard very good and very bad things about him.. any thoughts??

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

apparantly his part in Wicked is quite small...I have only heard good things of him so am looking forward to finally see him in something. He was part of the original workshop for Wicked in New York. I also heard he turned down the part of Johnny in Dirty Dancing for this!

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

I think I'd turn that down for anything!! but good to hear it sounds positive... I heard he didn't manage the whole performance of Sat Night Fever loads of times??

"Do you think I'll have the same problem trying to get to Adam Garcia?"

Don't think so. When I saw him several times in "On The Town" at the ENO and in SNF years ago, he always signed stuff after the show and talked to people - he was really lovely! And there was never really a big crowd of people to see him, usually just a handful of people.

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

that's really good to know....thanks. I had visions of hundreds of screaming schoolgirls throwing their training bra's at him for some reason...

As for Saturday Night Fever.....all the reports I heard from that were pretty amazing. Guess we'll have to wait and see..! (just as long as he's not off sick on the 7th October!!!!)

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

What about those of us who are there to see the entire cast, not just Idina??
*Ugh. Frustration.*

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

I'm going to see 'Wicked' twice but I really don't think I'll be stage-dooring. I'm sure it won't be as mental in London as it would be in New York, but I still don't want to risk getting trampled by a herd of Idina fangirls. *shudders*

re: Apollo Victoria Theatre

1 question, does anyone know if the stage door has a contact number or something? i have tried looking on the net but can only find the number that leads to the ticket office, should i use that number and ask if they could put me through to the stage door office?
