Apparantly

I thought my friends were exaggerating about the talent at Caesar's in this show, but I guess I'm going to have to believe the hype if even Paul Wontorek wrote about it. I think I've already made it clear what a fan of his I am, but I especially applaud him for thinking outside the box and not being so stuffy as to think the only stellar talent is ON Broadway. We all know I'm a huge fan of Orfeh. I can't understand why she's not on Broadway more often. Obviously someone else sees it my way!
He's right about musical revues, too. How long did "Fascinating Rhythm," "The Look of Love" or "One Mo' Time" run anyway? My wish would be that people would stop blaming the Orfehs and the A.C. Ciullas of the world for the MATERIAL they were *hired* to do and focus on their specific work within the shows.
The fact that David St. Louis and Andy Karl aren't in more shows is astounding to me. They're tall, good-looking, straight and triple threats. What's the problem?
I'm going to echo Mr. Wontorek and say, "Casting directors, wake up!!"
I need to get out east to see this before it's over.

Posted: 1/31/04 at 11:58amThank you iflit! Belterbabe, my original thread consisted of a MUCH longer title than "apparantly" and apparantly, it was shortened by the webmaster for whatever reason, I don't know why. It's a review of "Night's on Broadway". A show currently running at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City. Clearer now?

Thank you for that sweetly bitchy comment, Al.

Al~ can't speak for Sheekla, but this show is a winner, in my eyes. I'm 40 min. from AC and I can tell you, it's a welcome change from Wayne Newton, Neil Sedaka, Steve & Edie and Tom Jones! (sorry namo) they WERE great!
Perhaps I'll run into some NY fans if this sort thing keeps popping up at the shore. Enjoy!

Posted: 2/1/04 at 5:59amAs you know I'm the "Michael Crawford/Nathan Lane" of AC, I'm heading down next weekend, I'm SURE it's a hoot and the talent is for real so here comes Sheekala!

Well if they are straight they must be great. Just what Broadway needs is more straight men!
