Are Jersey Boys tix usually available in front of theatre day of performance?

Since the performance I want to see is sold out (even Premium Tix), I was thinking of buy tix from a ticket broker. I'm willing to pay more than face value, but I hate paying ticket broker's crazy additional charges. Are there usually scalpers in front of the theatre for this show? Has anybody bought from a scalper and do you think it is safe to do so?

there was 1 guy trying to sell a ticket that way

if you have a student ID, try going for student rush. if not, you can always try standing room.

There is a cancellation line as well
