I really want the DRS souvenir program, but they started selling them the day after I went. Grr! Why don't they sell their merchandise outside of the theatre?

Oh sorry, I mean they should sell them in the Broadway merchandise stores and such. It was fine when I was living in NY and could run over to the Imperial at 7:30 to buy what I needed but now that I'm back in Baltimore it's not very easy any more. re: Are the souvenir programmes for DRS, Spamalot, and Spelling Bee all $10?

Seems like a missed opportunity to me...

Wicked is $20. Only because it's Wicked and they can do that. Spamalot is also $20 for the same reason.

DRS was $10 when I went.

At the back of my Dirty Rotten program, it says that additional copies of the program can be ordered through www.thebroadwaycollection.com. I just looked - and it's not there yet but give it some time. They just came out so I'm sure they'll be available soon. They also say you can order by phone:

DRS merchandise is not sold in stores or online. It is due to legal issues: MGM owns the rights to DRS and refuses to let anyone else sell them. (as per people in the Bway NY store)

Thank you so much Yankeefan! That makes complete sense and I'm glad to know it is a logical reason. I figured it was something like that, but the lady I spoke to at the Broadway New York store just simply told me that they don't carry any DRS merchandise.

And thank you also Becky for the heads up on the program and the website. I will check in on it after a while. Maybe it's best it's not availble - saves me the money. re: Are the souvenir programmes for DRS, Spamalot, and Spelling Bee all $10
