On Sunday, March 15 2015, non for profit group Broadway Sings for Pride's will be going into the recording studio with some of their famous friends to record some tracks for an upcoming album. Come watch the magic happen, take photos and mingle with Broadway's best!
Performers include: Kimberley Locke (Pop Singer, Billboard Hot 100, American Idol), Eric Millegan (FOX Television: Bones), Jackie Burns (Broadway: If/Then (understudying Idina Menzel), a special arrangement of Seasons of Love featuring RENT Alumni from the Original Broadway Cast, Broadway, National and International Tours, and BROADWAY cast members from the Les Miserables Revival, The Book of Mormon, The Lion King, Disney's Aladdin, Anything Goes 2011 Revival, Fiddler on the Roof 2004 Revival, Lincoln Center's Tony-wining South Pacific Revival, Avenue Q, Elf the Musical and more!
This would take place in a studio near Times Square from 11:00am-6:30pm. Come stay for as long as you like.
Winner gets to:
- bring two (2) friends
- take all the photos and videos they can
- autographed comparative item signed by all singers
ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT BROADWAY SINGS FOR PRIDE.
Broadway Sings for Pride, a four-time nominee for "Most Valuable Campaign" & "Most Valuable Organizer" from the New Organizing Institute, is a non-for-profit organization that brings together Broadway talent, activists and celebrities to promote LGBT equality through song. At the core, Broadway Sings for Pride connects with talented entertainers to showcase their voices to help raise awareness on the various issues affecting the LGBT community. We have performed at Couture Fashion Week (twice), Staten Island Yankees Richmond County Bank Ballpark, Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Splash Club, Bamboo 52, TADA! Youth Theater, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City, The TownHouse Bar of New York, & Barry’s Bootcamp, etc. Proceeds from our pride shows benefit worthy LGBT organizations that are truly making a difference in peoples lives.
Launched in June 2011, this non-profit grew out of the tragic suicides within the gay community, and we have received support from Neil Patrick Harris, Channing Tatum, Carol Channing, Kathy Griffin, LeAnn Rimes, Bernadette Peters, Nathan Lane, Joy Behar, Wendy Williams and many others.
