Hey there,

wanted any of you Lennon fans to be the first to know that Marcy Harriell will be singing her showstopping number from the show in this Sunday's FLOPZ n CUTZ Concert at Joe's Pub.

She'll be joining the previously announced performers scheduled to appear in the upcoming FLOPZ n' CUTZ 3 Concert including 2-Time Tony Nominee Mary Testa (42nd Street, First Lady's Suite), Tony Nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q), Stacia Fernandez (Drowsy Chaperone, Swing!), Farah Alvin (Nine, I Love You Because), Todd Buonopane (...Spelling Bee), Jennifer Collela (Urban Cowboy, upcoming High Fidelity), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q, ...Spelling Bee), Mandy Gonzalez (Dance of the Vampires, Lennon), Chris Jackson (The Lion King, upcoming In The Heights), Meredith Patterson (Irving Berlin's White Christmas, 42nd Street), Clarke Thorell (Hairspray, Titanic), and Shonn Wiley (42nd Street, Dracula).

I'm meeting with the Music Director today to work with some of the other singers as well. So far, I can tell you there will be some original performances including one from Lucky Stiff, and I believe we're going to have a song cut from Wedding Singer as well...should be a fun evening.

And as for trashing Julia Murney, not sure exactly what you had to say bwayguy2, but it must have been uncalled for considering this thread has nothing to do with her.

jamie, someone posted about how julia should do with marcy, i pointed out that i felt marcy has a peircing voice and murney has the vibrato of a goat.

Well regardless of your thoughts on Julia's vibrato or Marcy's sound, perhaps your comments were deleted because they were tasteless and pretty rude. Just a thought. I'm not going to get into an argument here, as this thread is about a benefit concert for children with AIDS, so it hardly seems the place for those kinds of comments. But I'm sorry you feel the need to be as tactless as you are.

It will probably be about 70-80 minutes long...followed by, yes...my birthday party that all are welcome to stick around for :)

Maybe Phantom2 will send along a nice bottle of Veuve Cliquot or Stoli Raz for me.
