I don't know if it's claustrophobia but I really dislike having the overhang right on top of my head at a theater; for comp tickets or for a play I've tolerated it, but for a musical it really drives me nuts. Also, something happens to the soundwaves when they're bouncing around off the overhang - I saw Sister Act in like Row U and despite the view being totally unobstructed I thought the sound was terrible. I'd rather be closer in orchestra with the expansive ceiling of the theater in full view and the soundwaves flying freely.
