Hi everyone!!!
I have a few auditions coming up - one next week and some in September, but I'm struggling when it comes to picking a song and monologue. My high school didn't teach us much when it comes to our ranges and whether we're Soprano, Mezzo, Alto or whatever they just made us pick a group that we felt comfortable in... So now I have no clue what sounds good when I sing because I don't know what group I'm supposed to be singing. I also don't have the strongest voice, I'm not much of a belter at all, but I'm also not classically trained. Online I did a test and it says my range is between a Low E3 and a High G5 (HELP???? What does that mean I can do lol). If it's any help my usual go-to song is Fine Fine Line from Avenue Q but I can't do that song for every audition.
Other than that I need help with a monologue. Something awkward and quirky or emotional but in an angsty teen way. Those are my character types so far.
