Hey guys, I'm 18 years old and need some help choosing audition monologues. I'm planning on auditioning for the drama division at Juilliard next year which requests 4, 2 minute monologues - 2 classical and 2 contemporary (at least one of the classics need to be from Shakespeare). I'm not asking for people to pick the monologue I should do, but do you know of any good plays with an 18 year old male lead? I have no idea where to start. Something like Fences, Rabbit Hole, Tea & Sympathy, etc. (Although tea&sympathy doesn't have a monologue...) Thanks for the help!!!

Equus has a 17 year old lead, Alan Strang and he has a couple of dramatic monologues.
I'm also looking for audition monlogues which is always very stressful for me. I just purchased this book at amazon for a ridiculously low price, it has 800 monologues from classical and contemporary plays, which I hope will steer me in the right direction.

Good luck with your admissions!!
