According to Theatremania - Audra McDonald's opening concert of the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center (Rose Hall)will be telecast on Oct. 12.

Too bad it wasn't on Oct. 11. That would have made my birthday sublime.

That's great! My birthday is the next day. So it's Barbra on 10/11, Audra on TV on 10/12 and I'm going to Grey Gardens on 10/13 for my birthday. Should be a nice theater run!

Will she be doing the same boring, pretentious songs she's so fond of doing lately? Throw us a song with a decent tune and lyric, Audra, it won't kill ya.

I will watch and/listen even if she reads off names from a phone book. She is beyond fantastic.

The American Songbook series has been outstanding. She will be a wonderful addition.

I believe the tickets go on sale next week. I'm sure they'll sell quickly, but it would be a wonderful concert to attend in person.
