Yesterday, Audra McDonald was the guest on 'The View' and gave one of the most refreshing interviews I've seen on that show in a long time. I wish they interviewed her for the full hour - I could listen to her talk all hour long.
I've never seen her on stage, so I'm mostly famililar with her television work ("The Good Fight" and "The Gilded Age" - both costarring Christine Baranski). It was wonderful that they reflected on her television roles, as well as her Broadway role in 'Ohio State Murders'. I didn't know much about the play, but now it's on my list to go and see it if I make it to NY in time. (I guess Golden Globe nominee voters have never seen 'The Good Fight' ? Otherwise both actresses would be nominated)
She also gave props and shared the spotlight with her husband's opening in 'Beautiful Noise', in which he plays Neil Diamond (didn't know that was her husband).
Such a classy, elegant woman who was a wonderful guest. The clip from the interview should be on ABC's website starting today.

Did she happen to mention when The Gilded Age is returning? I really enjoyed the first season.
