When will her winning streak end? During awards season, so much is said about rewarding newcomers or those who have never won before (past wins could be a liability: Donna, Kristin, etc.). But when it comes to Featured Actress Audra, they might as well name the category after her.

The only Tony she's lost was for Best Actress -- Marie Christine. Always the bridesmaid. I bet she feels really bad this morning about it.

I suppose so, but have you noticed a pattern when she does win? It switches from featured actress in a musical to featured actress in a play:

Carousel (musical)
Master Class (play)
Ragtime (musical)
A Raisin in the Sun (play)

weird isn't it?

Dude, you're freaking me out.

And I think she deserved to win for Marie Christine as well. Her performance blew Heather Headley out of the water that year in acting and singing, but Marie Christine was not a popular show, so it was easily dismissed.

I wish I'd been ablel to see Marie Christine - I really admire her work so much and find that John L's writing is growing on me - I LOVE the song "Tom"...anyway, I don't think 4 tonys are anything to turn your nose up at - no matter what catagorie.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

One of the most impressive things about Audra is that she can hold her own in both plays and musicals...it's not that common to win Tonys for BOTH.

She's amazing.

Audra's bizarre intensity when she sings bothers me. I caught a bit of that Jennifer Aniston movie "Object of My Affection" on TV last week, and Audra is the singer at the wedding reception. She was singing "Isn't It Romantic" as if she were in the throes of orgasm! Geez - it's just a Rodgers & Hart ballad - mellow out, babe!

Audra is nothing short of phenomenal. I hope next season she is headlining a musical. I just adore her! She couldn't have given a more gracious acceptance speech. Class and talent...you can't beat that.
