Cyrano de Bergerac stage door

Oct 20, 2012 — 1:26:21 AM

It's a 50/50 chance with the American Airlines stage door; I've stage-doored three times so far, and thus far most have left the theater from the front [through the lobby], but there's no guarantee that they'll leave through the front.

re: A Little Night Music...Which Cast recording?

May 30, 2007 — 7:09:46 AM

I prefer the Original London Cast Recording, but the OBC is worth getting. A Little Night Music is probably my second favorite Sondheim score (after Sweeney Todd).

re: By Jeeves

Hey Simon, I saw By Jeeves on Broadway, and I thoroughtly enjoyed it. I have both the London and Broadway cast recordings, and would love to see it on DVD, but apparently it's not sold in the US, nor it is in region 1 DVD (which my DVD player only plays). I would love to have a copy of it (if possible) Jen

Hi Simon, It's rare to find any Sunset merchandise anywhere but on ebay, but I am one of those rare people how have the Debbie Byrne AIWNSG promo CD (I forget how I actually obtained it - it was so long ago). I also have a multitude of singles and other recordings (if you know what I mean). I have stacks of (American) playbills with Betty Buckley and Elaine Paige, a few window cards (even the rare red poster featuring Alan Campbell and Elaine Paige - signed by both!), and souvenir brochures w...

re: The Phantom Of Manhattan Update

Mar 2, 2007 — 1:04:03 PM

*bangs head on desk repeatedly* The Phantom of Manhattan is possibly the worst book I've ever read - it's not even worth the paper it's printed on. Between the changing 1st person narratives to the bland ending, it's poorly written and confusing to follow. If it were fanfiction, I'd dismiss it as a feeble attempt at continuing the Phantom story, but seeing that it's written by a reputable author, it makes me wonder if he read the original novel. Also, considering the fact that ALW has endorse...

re: 1995 Revival of HELLO, DOLLY! ????????????

Oct 19, 2006 — 12:19:26 PM

I saw this production of Hello, Dolly! and I enjoyed it, even though I agree that at some points during the show she looked like she was going to tip over, especially in the red dress. Not having seen other productions of the show, I can't compare. There was also an opening night TV special about this production (whiched aired on WWOR, the predecessor to UPN) hosted by Pat Collins, which was entertaining to watch.
