If the box office opens at noon on sundays, when is a safe time to get there that morning to get rush tickets?
Also, I have a friend who wants to go with me. I can be there early that morning, but he wouldn't be able to come wait in line with me until later in the morning (and August rush is one ticket per person). Would I be allowed to hold a spot for him? I know some theatres are sticklers about that.
Thanks!

I would say get there around 11am. I don't know if your friend can cut because I've never had to get a ticket for anyone besides myself. Enjoy the show!
Really? 11:00 is okay? I would have expected to get there earlier.
Do they typically sell out of rush seats right when the box office opens or does it just depend on the day? I'm planning on rushing this show eventually on a weeknight but I won't be able to get to the box office when it opens since I'm in class.
Polka Dot2---I think 11am will be fine.
Little-Lotte---I think they do sell out rather quickly, but it's definitely a shot to try and still ask whenever you get to the box office later in the day. If they are out of student rush tickets, then you could always try the balcony.
Both of you enjoy the show!
I can't help you with August Rush, other than to tell you to avoid it. That move sucks.
