Autographs--What Do You Do With Them After You Get Them?

I cut mine out with cuticle scissors and paste them into a scrapbook underneath a picture of the star who signed it, with a notation for (1) who I stage-doored with, (2) how long I stood there waiting, (3) whether the person was nice or nasty (on a scale of 1 being Sierra Bogess Nice and 10 being Patti LuPone Nasty) and (4) whether I saw the show or not.
My all-time favorite is Cheyenne Jackson's signature and the chewing gum he wanted to get rid of. He stuck the gum next to his name and drew a little arrow leading from the gum to a circle with the words "Hey, look! My DNA!!"
What do you do with YOUR autographs?

I eat them so as to absorb the DNA right into my bloodstream. Because then it's like we're one.
I wish someone would give me their chewed gum, PalJoey! That would make it so much easier!

Oh, PJ. I gotta get to bed. Couldn't you have waited until tomorrow?!

I'm crazy about my Playbills, so I'd never ever cut the autographs out (cute idea, though!)
What I usually do is take my autographed Playbill and arrange it along with my ticket to the show and any other things I can think of (understudy inserts, etc,) and arrange it on construction paper and put it in a frame. After I frame it, I hang it above my piano. It makes for a nice presentation, and I've got my own little Broadway Corner going on.

Of COURSE I didn't ask him for his gum!
What do you think I am? A saliva-stalker?
It was a beautiful moment.

Really, newyorkcurious, would you rather eat an autographed piece of paper (usually a Playbill cover, I'm getting used to the taste and texture) or a piece of chewed gum? I'm jealous of the gum thing!!

elphiesmagic, why are those my only options?
I guess I am in the minority. I don't know y'all it's kinda gross. Besides, I put my Playbills in the binder. I wouldn't want a piece of gum to bulge up and stick to the plastic sheet.

haha this is greattt
i just tack my playbills with the signatures to my wall
although looking back at them i can never tell whose signature is whose unless its really obvious.

Posted: 7/1/08 at 11:42pmI frame all of my autographed Playbills & hang them on the wall. Sometimes I also include the ticket stub inside the frame as well.

Posted: 7/1/08 at 11:50pmI frame the Playbill or poster they signed, look at them and think to myself, "Oh, isn't that nice." And PJ, is Patti really a 10 on your nice or nasty scale? I've never had a bad LuPone encounter. I guess you have?

Well, she wasn't exactly nasty.
She just looked at me one night and said, "Don't you EVER go home?"
I did my best to smile at her and said, "Good evening, Miss LuPone. I understand from my friends here you gave quite a performance tonight."
See? I didn't say if it was good or bad--I just said "quite a performance." I learned that in a thread on the Off Topic Board.
Well Patti didn't like that, so she turned to her assistant and said, "Pat? The HEAVE-ho!"
"Oh, no, you don't!" I said. "You can't make ME go. I'm here to see Mr. Gaines, and HE'S a gentleman!"
She just kind of snorted and said, "What? Do you want to get your grubby little paws on his gum too?"
I guess somebody must have told her about Cheyenne and the gum.
But Sierra Bogess was a DOLL!

Ah, I see. Well, durring my Patti encounters I keep it breif, usually out of fear (JV: "You're great." PATTI LU: "Thanks.").

I think I'd rather eat the gum than a Playbill. I used to devour quite a lot of paper when I was a kidlet, and nothing tastes worse than printed ink. Yuck! (Well, maybe those receipt rolls where they use heat to print rather than ink... those are pretty nasty too...)
