Hi all-
I just got back from Avenue Q tonight and had a great time. If you will indulge me for a moment and let me gush, I have to say how much a love Sarah Stiles as Kate/Lucy. Her voice(s) was/were perfect and she had wonderful comic timing. I couldn't get enough of her performance. She was a doll at the stage door, and has amazing hair! LOL (ok, end gush)
Howie Michael Smith was also very good in the Princeton/Rod role, and may I say easy on the eyes too:). His final scene as Rod really had me in stiches! Ann Sanders was a fun Christmas Eve, but also showed a very tender side; I could def see her as a therapist.
The only person who didn't seem as "on" as the rest of the cast was Rashidra Scott as Gary. I don't know if she was just having an off night, but her energy seemed a little low, and some of her jokes just weren't landing. It wasn't enough to bring down the show or anything, though.
Overall, the show seems to be in pretty good shape. I did over hear some funny stuff from these two girls at intermission. The one girl would just not believe that the actors were singing live and not lip syncing, especially the females in the cast. Her friend was trying in vain to convince her that they were indeed singing.

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!
