John Tartaglia stepped out of the show about half-way through Act I last night - and was replaced by his understudy/standby, Barrett Foa.
The transition was seamless, and Barrett did a terrific job! He seemed thrilled when the audience gave him a special cheer at the end.
I barely noticed the switch - and although people were disappointed when they made the official announcement at the start of Act II, because he'd already been on stage for much of the evening, it really didn't seem to matter.
Hope John Tartaglia is feeling better -
