Does anyone know if this appears regularly on the TKTS boards? Are there any discount offers out there?

I don't believe so, alas, though I do think it pops up on TKTS.

I adore this show, and hope it is not getting lost or hurt in the end of year shuffle.

You can try for the lottery. It is worth trying.
This show is worth full price though. It is by far my favorite show this season.

The only deal I have seen is as part of the NY Times Arts and Leisure weekend. The performance dates for Ave Q are few (one is Sun evening Jan 11). This was first a stand alone section of the Sunday Times two weeks ago and will run again on Jan 2nd or 4th with the particulars and codes.

Either go through the trash room of your building (oh c'mon, everybody has done it at some point) to find a copy or wait for the reprint.

Its a goodie.

I had heard that they never sent tickets over to TKTS. I've tried the Lottery a few times, but never got picked.

When I was lucky enough to see Avenue Q, I got the tickets at TKTS for half price. It was September though before the show got too popular and it was also during the last part of the Broadway on Broadway concert so there was literally no one in the TKTS line. It's doubtful you'd find them on TKTS now unless there were special circumstnces.

The show has yet to sell out---it rarely sells beyond a 75-80% capacity so check TKTS, TDF and other discount venues.
