Posted: 9/1/04 at 9:19pmI saw Avenue Q today for my first time, but I have had the CD for months, so I feel like I had already seen it. I had great seats, 4th row, it was soooo close. The show was amazing, and the cast was amazing! The songs are hilarious and today during "For Now" when they said "George bush" there was a huge uproar in the crowd and sooo many claps. The show was a great experience. I loved it so much, I would like to see it again soon, its just that it is always sold out, but I was like this week because of the convention. After the show I met some of the cast, including John Tartaglia- The sweetest and cutest person!!! Stephanie D'abruzzo- such a sweetheart! And Rick Lyon- Very shy, but very kind. I had so much fun! Its a great show! Definitley a new favorite!

Posted: 9/1/04 at 9:27pmIts really funny b/c I'm listening to Q right now and then read this post! I loved it. Saw it with my 6th grade teacher, Drama teacher and English/Newspaper teacher. We had a blast!

Awwww.. A trekkie hug would be so cool. I got a Rod and Princeton hug back when the show was still playing the Vineyard. It was totally cute!

The cast was collecting money for BC/EFA and with a donation, you could take pics with the cast and some of the puppets. John was the cast member doing it that night so it was John, Rod and Princeton. So I'm standing there talking to John AND the puppets and then got hugs from all three of them! LOL! It was totally cute!

Hmmm. I wish I could remember. It seems like so long ago. It was towards the end of the Vineyard run I believe. I'll see if I can drudge up the pic. Maybe there's a date on it.
Also, you got a Christmas card "signed" by all the inhabitants of Avenue Q with the donation. It was a great idea!
ETA: I think I just answered my own question! LOL! I guess it was around the holidays!

They do BC/EFA funraising leading up to Christmas and leading up to Easter, more specifically leading up to the Easter Bonnet competition (usually April) and leading up to Gypsy of the Year (usually the beginning of September)
The things offered at these times vary.
