does anyone know how early it fills up generally and when a good time to get there is to ensure seats? i know you said you're going at 5. that's when i was planning on getting there but do you think it's early enough?

It is a very big theater. I am sure an hour ahead will be fine.

hey, i was there! I got there at 6PM, didn't know it was a musical reading, because usually on the last Tuesdays of each month, there is a presentation of random "new songs" that is presented. Once in a while, there is a musical reading. So it was nice to show up and see Stephanie and Colin Hanlon performing. Colin Hanlon is hot!

Steph was great, however, I didn't understand why Steph and Colin Hanlon's character (the two leads) fell in love. I didn't sense the chemistry there.

but maybe that was just me.

The songs are brilliant, go check out their website, www.anothersaturdaynightinnewyork.com . I'm so glad it's an original musical, not music already written in a scrapbook style, like Mamma Mia and Good Vibrations. It was nice to hear original music.

corine - stephanie was great. it was fun to see her without a puppet at her side for the first time. she can definitely hold her own without one. but, unlike the other q cast members, kate monster is or else very very close to her singing voice and so she sounds like kate monster when she sings other stuff too. it works really well for kate, but for other characters it's not that great and a little weaker i thought. i think the person that sings the songs on the website (anothersaturdaynightinnewyork.com) is better.

mint - colin IS so hot! in terms of him and steph's characters falling in love - i think in terms of how the characters are written, we didn't see a lot of the in between part during which they fall in love. that was the major part that was run through my the narators. (didn't you love when she was like "15 minutes later") in terms of the actors, it was just a reading and they're both great actors so they were very happy to have them. they couldn't be too picky about casting so i don't think they were casting for chemistry so much. the idea was just to get the great songs out there.
