Posted: 7/16/04 at 8:29pmHelp! My 25 year old daughter is now meeting us in New York for our trip the 21-25 and I really want her to see Avenue Q. I've been driving her crazy with talking about it and making her listen to the OCR. I just tried to get tickets through telecharge and the Wed mat is the only one with tickets and I don't think she can get there on the bus from Boston that early. Does anyone have a ticket they are not using either the 22nd or the 23rd. Also how does the rush work and how early do you have to get there. PM me or post anything that might help. Thanks. By the way I just got great tickets to Hairspray on the 21st, row C seats 105-106!

You can try the lottery:
Avenue Q
Type: Lottery Rush
Price: $21.25 per ticket
Special Conditions: You will have to print your name and number of tickets you want on a card, which will be available starting at 5:30pm for 8pm shows; 11:30am for the 2pm Saturday matinees; Noon for the 2pm Sunday matinees; and 5pm for the 7pm shows. Cards will be placed in a container. Daily drawings will be held at 6pm for 8pm shows, 12 Noon for the Saturday matinees; 12:30pm for the Sunday matinees; and at 5:30pm for the 7pm shows. After the names have been drawn, the eligible ticket buyers will line up at the box office window to show proper identification and buy their ticket(s).
Amount: 2 tickets per person
Location: First row
They only pick like 6-8 names though. Good luck!

Posted: 7/19/04 at 9:10pmHey! I just did cancellations last wednesday the 14th. I tried lottery at 12:00 and lost. then five minutes later i went to the box office and asked for cancellations. I got 5th row center orchestra. Didnt have to wait at all! Get their at least 2 hours before the show starts. You may be lucky, like me, and get tix right away, but if you wait until the show starts there is a pretty good chance you will get one! Hope this helps!
