The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards were held last night in Boston. A number of Broadway folks received awards:

David Grimm, best new play (large theater), The Miracle at Naples
Maureen McGovern, best solo, A Long and Winding Road
David Scala, best choreography (large theater), La Cage Aux Folles
Angela Robinson, best supporting actress (musical), The Color Purple
Rachel York, best actress (musical), Hello, Dolly!
David Engel, best actor (musical), La Cage Aux Folles
Diane Paulus, best director (musical), Best of Both Worlds
Kenny Leon, best director (play), Fences
