BAA Cincy 09/10 season!

White Christmas, 11/10/09 - 11/22/09
Spring Awakening, 01/12/10 - 01/24/10
The 39 Steps, 03/02/10 - 03/14/10
Mary Poppins, 04/08/10 - 04/25/10
Legally Blonde, 05/11/10 - 05/23/10
Dreamgirls, 06/08/10 - 06/20/10

Other than Mary Poppins, I feel like Cincy is out of the loop (it didn't used to be). Playing catch-up with Spring Awakening, and Legally Blonde. Where are the new tours In The Heights, August, South Pacific, Xanadu? Even Columbus got Young Frankenstein, and In The Heights.
I wish they would go back to a 7-8 show season, maybe then some of the newer shows would have made the list.

9/10 - Next To Normal, Ensemble Theatre
9/18 - Brian Stokes Mitchell, Cincy Pop's
9/28 - Death Of A Salesman, Wright State

Xanadu will be in Cleveland, so that's not THAT far from Cinci. I think In the Heights will be, too.

Yeah, In The Heights will be in Columbus. Depending on what Indianapolis comes up with, I'll need to go to Cleveland or Pittsburgh to see Xanadu and August. Not sure either show will tour for more than a year, we'll see.

OMG DREAMGIRLS!

I thought I was going to have to go to Pittsburgh to see it, but now I'll only have to drive 2 hrs!

I'm in Indiana and just talked to the group sales rep last week about the new upcoming season. She advised the annoucement would be made during the "Wicked" run. So I would think it should be no later than June 2nd. Here's hoping they have another good season..

re: BAA Cincy 09/10 season!

I'm not sure for Indianapolis or Cincy "officially". I got lucky last night when I logged into my account and all the dates and shows were listed for current subscribers. I'm sure it will be on the BAA website by this weekend. I knew about Mary Poppins thanks to the Disney leak, but was unsure of the rest. It's not my dream season, but I'll be there, and various other cities to make my own season. That's the good thing about BAA, if your are a subscriber in one city you get access to all their cities. You can get early tix before the public and at season tix prices. And no I don't work for BAA... If I did I would have posted the season sooner. :)

re: BAA Cincy 09/10 season!

I have to say I find the Cincy line-up a bit surprising. I'm a subscriber in Louisville and we are also getting "White Christmas," The 39 Steps," and "Legally Blonde." The rest of the Louisville season consists of "A Chorus Line," and "Jersey Boys." I was told that Cincy was considered a "top tier" market for touring shows (Louisville isn't--we just got "Wicked" for the first time this season), so it surprises me we have so many shows in common; we actually have "Spring Awakening" closing out our season in June. We also got "Avenue Q" a year before Cincy.

I am glad Cincy is getting "Dreamgirls." I'll have to make the two hour trek to see that.

Wow, I love how TBFO is complaining about this awesome season, would you like to see my season (which, might I add, is unusually better than our past seasons)

re: BAA Cincy 09/10 season!

Sorry to come across as "complaining". I know this season will be better than smaller markets, but over the past 2-3 years the first run tours, top tier (as someone said) are getting fewer. 3-4 years ago it seemed to be a given that a new tour would stop here for a 2 week run. The Economy is crap here (and everywhere), so maybe Season Tix are down, thus a possible reason. Houses are mostly full to sold-out, so single ticket buyers are out there. Like I said they are down from a 7-8 show season plus specials. The specials/add-ons have not been listed, but I doubt the show's I mentioned would be considered an add-on. Hopefully I'll be wrong.

I'm with Jazzy. I'm seeing my first equity tour on Sunday after about 10 years. Don't complain.

re: BAA Cincy 09/10 season!

Not a bad season but I do see what The Boy From Ohio is saying that Cincinnati is not getting some of the big shows on tour like Xanadu. But I will say not that bad of a season better than this past season we had here. Maybe now I will finally get off my butt and see The Color Purple. Peace and love to all

re: BAA Cincy 09/10 season!

I live in Minnesota but my parents live in Cincy so I try to catch as many shows there as I can and sadly they aren't getting the greatest shows anymore plus they tend to get stuff the Minneapolis already has had...but a few good ones!
